Here are some pictures of the interior:

Kitchen:

This custom designed kitchen is loaded with special features to make cooking fun and materials easily accessible.

Island: The seven-foot granite island boasts a custom copper vegetable sink that was once a kettle made in Amish Country, Ohio. The sink is very deep and ideal for soaking/washing a large amount of vegetables.  The granite is ideal for rolling out dough, and the amount of space on the island allows you to lay out all your ingredients at once while still having a large area of which to work. The bake center (not pictured here) is also another work area in the kitchen. The two areas of the kitchen allows the cook to have a clear area for cooking on the island should cookie dough, bread dough, etc . . . need to sit out while baking. The island also houses the kitchen trash can so as you prepare food, kitchen waste can be directly deposited beneth the work space. A vertical baking sheet area also maximizes space within the cabinet area of the island, along with slide out drawers for storage. A utensil drawer is also in the middle of the island, where we currently keep our knives, measuring spoons, etc. for easy access.

Black microwave cabinet: This piece was seen in a decorating magazine and was recreated by our cabinet company for our kitchen. The piece sits on feet to warm up the kitchen and make it feel like a piece of furniture than rather just another cabinet. There are two drawers beneath the oven and cabinets right above the microwave.

Appliances: Stainless steel appliances were chosen to give this farm style kitchen a modern, fresh look. Unlike most stainless refrigerators, this one is stainless on all sides instead of just on the front. The Jenn-Air stove has a grill option on one side of the cooktop, however an extra set of stove eyes were purchased in the event we wanted to work with four burners instead of two. The Jenn-Air stove is fitted with an exterior vent system so the kitchen doesn't have any smoke from grilling. The oven also has a deydrating function. In back of the cooktop is a tin backdrop with a bronze pot filler which allows you to fill stockpots of water so the cook doesn't have to carry a heavy pot from sink to stove.

Cabinets: Some of the cabinets have double wide drawers to prevent the cook from opening several drawers to find one utensil. Towers open on either side of the Jenn-Air stove where spices are stored for easy access. No more using the flashlight in a deep cabinet to find the rosemary!

Plumbing: The kitchen faucets are designer pieces by Danze.

Family Room:

The family room is a terrific place for families with children, or someone who wants several different specific areas within one space. Only half of the room is pictured here.  It measures 24' by 26' with 10' ceiling.  There is a gas stove for ambiance in the winter.  This room is pre-wired for in-wall theater surround speakers.

 Dining Rooms:

Either the formal dining room or the informal dining room can be used for an additional living room if desired.  There is plenty of space for large family gatherings and entertaining.  The informal dining room has a wood burning fireplace with a gas log lighter for easy fire starting.

Main Floor Bathroom:

A  vessel sink was used to convey the old world style along with a wall mount faucet by Cifial.  The bathroom is spacious enough to use a hutch to give a warm, inviting feeling to the space.  The toilets in the master bath and the main bath are by Toto and are chair height with an elongated bowl and soft close seat.  These are more comfortable for adults.  The guest/child's bath on the top floor uses a standard sized unit which works better for younger children through late teens.

Master Bath:

6' jetted air tub with heated backrest by Bain Ultra for relaxing in.  The air tubs work with bath salts and bubbles without risk of harming the jets as these tubs operate on air and not the traditional jets like the Jacuzzi tubs.  His & Her sinks to avoid bumping into each other when getting ready.  There is a full size, all tile shower stall behind the air tub.  It is accented with blue glass tile.  The faucets in all the bathroom are Moen for the clean look and durability.

 Main Floor Office:

For those that work at home there is a large, private office on the main floor.  There is a closet in the corner for extra storage.

Large Pantry:

The pantry is approximately 7' x 9' and is just outside of the kitchen.  As can be seen in the photo below it is large enough for a second refrigerator and freezer and has six shelves six feet long (36' of shelf space!).

Walk-in Master Closet:

Large walk-in closet in the master bedroom.  Plenty of room for both his and her winter and summer clothes.  A spacious shoe rack to hold all of your shoes.

 Period Lighting:

Most of the lighting was ordered from Historic Housefitters or  Country Tinware. No expense was spared for the majority of the lighting. Most of the sleeves of the candle lights are made from real bee's wax.
